Smart thermometer for landlords and tenants in social housing or student accommodation.

The first B2B smart thermostat designed for social housing. The company fights fuel poverty and provides landlords with remote
analytics designed to help reduce asset management costs and enhance repair outcomes. Launched in late 2015, the company is moving from a phase of successful commercial pilots into its first full volume roll‐outs. 24 existing clients with over 1,400 units sold into a client base owning more than 430,000 homes. The current client base represents an opportunity to scale and the team have invested in sales and marketing to win new accounts.

The company believes it has two hardware features that differentiate it from B2C competitor products:

  • GSM connectivity: with Wi‐Fi penetration under 10% in some markets, this is the only large‐scale solution deployable independent of domestic Wi-Fi.
  • Passive / ‘Fit and Forget’: Works even if residents choose not to engage, a frequent problem for landlords in some target demographic segments.
